Arnold Umformtechnik: Fastener Express saves time

(Forchtenberg). The “Fastener Express” rapid prototyping concept means that Arnold Umformtechnik can produce highly complex prototypes for fasteners and precision parts with near-series characteristics in a quarter of the usual time and at a quarter of the usual cost.

A Rapid Prototyping Team, brought together especially for this purpose ensures that orders placed through the direct order system to the specialists in intelligent fastenings are automatically and promptly assessed for technical feasibility. Three-dimensional CAD data is simultaneously translated into the manufacture of the product concerned. Blanks go directly into the machining process, where they are turned ready for final machining. Further treatment centres such as heat treatment and electroplating are available in-house. These quasi-simultaneous processes guarantee high quality when the design is translated into the product. Arnold engineers have already handled over 150 enquiries for this process, dubbed “Functional Prototyping”.
